Investment in CNC machinery and first PCs was not only a well-founded but also a milestone decision for our operations. Owing to our initial business successes, we were able to expand our activities by 1987 into a new hall that we simply named Orodjarna (Eng.: Tool-Making Shop).

   Together with the construction of Cevarna (Eng.: Tube- Making Shop) and supported by further innovations, the programme also became interesting for marketing purposes. Our tools served as a guarantee for high-quality and more competitive production of tubes and profiles.

   The logical step from supplying our own tube-making factory was then marketing those same tools for our costumers' requirements. In 1992 we therefore organised a Toolmakers' Profit Centre. Six years later we integrated the entire ALPOS personnel in one place and developed a programme for the production of tools for proccesing metal sheets and tubes.

   A special turning point in our history is 2001, marked as the first year of our new undertaking's business operations. Since then, our production and sales have achieved and increase of more than 100%. Today we sell more than a half of our products outside the ALPOS-associated companies in the demanding EU markets.

   By January 2005 we have also established a subsidiary ALPOS-Alatnica d.o.o. Aleksinac in Serbia and Montenegro implementing a similar production programme, which enables us to pursue a strategic expansion of our activities.

    This entails being different, inventive and fearless. Our aim is to fully satisfy our clients' demands, listen to their wishes and visions. We continuously draw new knowledge from our partnership relations. At the same time we pay respect to both natural and social environment. One of our most significant values is precisely the environment friendliness, therefore our production process is closed with waste being collected separately.

  The competitive advantage of ALPOS, Proizvodnja orodij, d.o.o. Šentjur arises our swift reactions to our costumers' needs. We are aware that flexibility conctitutes a leading future global currency. While our production and development are primarily based on the needs of the parent company ALPOS, we have also been successfully evolving into a sought-for supplier of related companies in EU markets.

   Our systematic achievement of highest standards has been recognised and rewarded by the acquisition of the ISO 9001:2000 certificate, while all our costumers obtain the certificates relating to our materials, heat treatment procedures and measurement protocols.

   We actively follow the latest developments in tool-making industry. Therefore we are also co-founders of the Tool-Making Cluster of Slovenia. The cooperation within the Tool-Making Cluster of Slovenija enables us to draw valuable information and knowledge through the operation of its information portals, i.e. the marketing, technological and procurement portals.

   We are aware that our own knowledge is the primary vehicle facilitating effective growth, positive identity and added value. Therefore we pay increasing attention to a long-term personnel planning. Through the Tool-Making Cluster of Slovenia our company cooperates with the Faculty of Engineering (University of Maribor) and, in its own behalf, with the secondary technical school in Celje as well as other local vocational tool-making schools.
